ANIMAL UTILIZATION OF SMALL RURAL REFUSE SITES IN THE LIMPOPO REGION OF SOUTH AFRICA
This project focused on how local wildlife utilized open pit trash sites in South Africa. The local researchers had noticed plastic and other pieces of trash showing up in scat analyses and wanted to see which animals were using the local trash sites, as well as how and when they used them. My study used camera traps to record information on the various animals using the sites and determine the what type of role they might play in the local ecosystem.
